Voilà ce que j'ai trouvé sur le site de discussion d'apple, cela devrait marché, en tout cas j'essaie ce soir ! :
</font><blockquote><font class="small">Citer:</font><hr />
"I have two macs (iMac 333 running os X 10.1.5 and a G4 running 10.2) on a local network connected to a cable ISP (roadrunner) via a linksys router using DHCP. After I installed 10.2 on the G4, Mail (and any other mail client) returned an "Invalid Address" error when I tried to send a message - both computers are configured to use a roadrunner smtp server.
I noticed that the hostname environment variables (ie $HOST and $host) were set differently on the iMac and G4 (computername is the name set from the Sharing control panel):
G4/10.2:
% hostname (or 'echo $HOST')
computername.local.
iMac/10.1.5:
% hostname
localhost
I could now recapituale the error like this:
% telnet smtp-server.nc.rr.com 25
helo computername.local.
501 Invalid Address
helo localhost
250 mail8.nc.rr.com Hello [my ip]
Because I could find no way to set the G4 computername from any control panel without getting a trailing ".local.", I modified the /etc/hostconfig file, changing the line
HOSTNAME=-AUTOMATIC-
to
HOSTNAME=localhost
After reboot, Mail (and any other mail client) was able to send messages without errors.
Anyone know a more elegant fix to this problem? "
Have a nice day
