Problèmes de PLANTAGES sous Office 2008

Bonjour,
Je travaille sous un mini mac sous Tiger et j'ai récemment installé Office 2008 pour MAC. Je travaillais précedemment sous Office 2004, tout fonctionnait bien.
Après avoir installé Office 2008, j'ouvre EXCEL 2008 et dans mon fichier, je fais une requête recherche. Là l'application se ferme inopinément. Et à chaque fois c'est la même chose, quoique je fasse, ça plante.

Pour la énième + 1 fois, désinstaller tient plutôt du réflexe windowsien que d'une conduite adaptée pour résoudre un problème sur un Mac.

La première chose à faire, c'est d'essayer de cerner plus précisément la cause du problème. Est-ce que ce problème survient avec un classeur en particulier ou avec n'importe quel classeur (par exemple un classeur tout neuf créé pour l'occasion) ? Si c'est seulement avec un classeur, on peut fortement soupçonner une corruption du classeur. Sinon, il faut chercher plus loin.

Fais une réparation des autorisations puis crée un nouveau compte utilisateur Mac OS X et vois si le problème se reproduit. Si le prolbème n'est pas reproductible avec le nouveau compte, reviens à ton compte principal et supprime les préférences liées à Excel... Décris-nous ce que tu observes.

Ce problème survient avec tous les classeurs. Je fais mes factures sous Excel et j'ai donc beaucoup de renvois vers des calculs ou des tableaux différents pour récupérer de l'information.

Je suis novice et par conséquent, je ne connais pas grand chose aux autorisations que vous décrivez. comment y accède-t-on ? Et créer un nouveau compte, est-ce une nouvelle session au sein du Mac ? Enfin, comme supprime t on les préférences d'Excel ? Je m'excuse d'être trop ignorant mais ce problème me gâche la vie ...

La réparation des autorisations est probablement "la" manip d'entretien de base de Mac OS X. A pratiquer en particulier avant et après toute installation ou mise à jour touchant aux dossiers système (c'est à dire celles qui demandent un code administrateur pour s'installer).

Cela se fait avec l'outil "Utilitaire de disque" qui se trouve dans /Applications/Utilitaires. Il faut sélectionner le volume de démarrage dans la partie gauche puis, dans l'onglet "SOS" cliquer sur "Réparer les autorisations". C'est sans danger ni contre-indications.

Et créer un nouveau compte, est-ce une nouvelle session au sein du Mac ?

Oui. Dans les préférences système "Comptes", déverrouiller le cadenas en bas à gauche, puis cliquer sur le "+" pour créer un nouveau compte. Ensuite, ouvrir une session avec ce compte et voir si le problème persiste, comme indiqué. Le nouveau compte n'est pas destiné à être utilisé, après les tests tu peux le supprimer. Il s'agit seulement de voir si, dans un environnement "propre" on peut reproduire le problème (et du coup on peut présumer qu'il est à chercher du côté du système) ou si le comportement est "normal" (cas de loin le plus fréquent, qui délimite le problème au compte utilisateur habituel).

Enfin, comme supprime t on les préférences d'Excel ?

Les fichiers de préférences sont dans ~/Bibliothèque/Preferences (la tilde ~ symbolise le dossier utilisateur, la "petite maison"). Et plus particulièrement, concernant Excel, dans le sous dossier ~/Bibliothqèue/Preferences/Microsoft.

Logiquement, c'est même dans le sous-sous dossier "Office 2008" que tu devrais trouver les préférences concernées. Mais, si tu avais auparavant Excel 2004, il est préférable de supprimer aussi les préférences de cette version car s'il y a un problème, cela peut venir de là : au moment du premier lancement (ou après la suppression des préférences) Excel 2008 se réfère aux paramétrages et personnalisations des versions précédentes. Ce qui part d'une bonne intention mais peut être à l'origine de soucis lorsque les fichiers de préférences en question sont corrompus (ce qui n'est pas rare).

Il est donc préférable de renommet la totalité du dossier ~/Bibliothèque/Preferences/Microsoft en quelque chose comme Microsoft-ex (ce qui rend l'opération plus facilement réversible si nécessaire). Tout ceci est bien entendu à faire après avoir quitté les applications Office.

J'ai créé un nouveau compte et le problème se passe de la même façon, crash d'Excel 2008.

J'ai déplacé le fichier de préférences Microsoft dans bibliothèque. Le problème est le même aussi.

Cependant après ces manipulations, certains points sont à prendre en considération :

- sur ma session "d'essai" : la fonction recherche marche pour certains éléments (je cherche le mot facture c bon mais dès lors que je cherche un simple n° de facture ça plante). Je n'ai pas été créateur dudit fichier à l'origine, mais à l'ouverture du fichier on me demande de modifier ou d'ignorer les liaisons. Je réponds ignorer.

- sur ma session de travail habituel :j'ai un nouveau problème : le système plante quand on accède à MAcintosh HD ou quand j'ouvre un répertoire sur le bureau. Ca clignote 2-3 secondes et je vois safari à la place du finder. Je ne peux pas accéder à Safari et Safari n'est pas lancé.

Ouvres ton document excel dans Excel 2008 et enregistres le sous un nouveau nom avec l extension xlsx… Cela m'a souvent dépanné.

Sur ce point-là, ta description laisse penser que le problème est lié à un seul classeur, plus exactement aux différentes déclinaisons d'un même classeur modèle. Si tu crées un classeur tout neuf, que tu y mets quelques nombres et que tu fais une recherche sur un nombre, est-ce que ça fonctionne ?

Au cas où ça ne contient pas de données confidentielles, tu peux me contacter par Message Personnel et me transférer un classeur. Je regarderai ce que ça donne chez moi. Le problème peut aussi être ailleurs, surtout si tu n'es pas l'auteur du classeur modèle (soucis de compatibilité ?)

C'est effectivement un autre problème, qu'il conviendrait de développer si nécessaire dans un autre fil. Visiblement un souci d'instabilité du Finder. Espérons que ce n'est pas ton disque qui montre quelques signes de faiblesse...

J'ai essayé. Sur mon minimac 10.4.11, ça plante. Sur mon nouvel Imac, sous Leopard,
Excel a planté avec un nouveau fichier que j'avais crée avec la nouvelle version excel sur mon Imac tout neuf, tout beau. "excel a quitté inopinement...."
Cependant, la fonction "recherche" du fichier où j'ai des problèmes a bien pu aboutir sur un résultat satisfaisant (ce qui n'est pas possible sur le Minimac)

Je pensais formater mon minimac, mais je ne suis pas sûr que cela m'avance à quelque chose. Des idées ?

Tant que la cause n'a pas vraiment été identifiée, pas évident du tout qu'un reformatage serve à quoi que ce soit. Mais bon, à part un peu de temps ça ne coûte pas grand chose...

Depuis quelques jours, je rencontre le même problème avec Word 2008 mais plus encore avec Excel 2008

Hier, je n'ai même pas essayé les solutions proposées par le distingué Aliboron puisque décrites sans effet par le distingué Carnage48

Il fallait donc chercher sinon ailleurs, du moins autrement

Le distingué Aliboron m'a mis la puce à l'oreille avec une réflexion sur le Finder

Par ailleurs, j'avais noté une forte activité du processeur au moment des plantages de WORD/EXCEL
Utilisant le Moniteur d'activité, il apparaissait que le composant QUICKLOCK SERVER était la cause principale de cette suractivité et pouvait utiliser de 45 à 90% des ressources du processeur
QUICK LOCK, c'est le bidule qui sert à pré-visualiser les documents sans les ouvrir

Après expériences, il apparaissait clairement que l'activité du processeur s'emballait ou se calmait selon qu'au moins une fenêtre du Finder était ouverte ou non sur une liste de documents (Word, Excel ou iCal)
- Une fenêtre de Finder avec une Liste de dossiers : Quicklock calme
- Une fenêtre de Finder avec une Liste de documents : QuickLock en folie et la roue qui tourne pour visualiser un document (en l'occurence, mes documents Excel sont assez chargés et compliqués, donc sans doute difficiles à pré-visualiser sous un format timbre-poste)

Enfin, l'instabilité de Word ou Excel était toujours survenue alors qu'une fenêtre de Finder affichait une liste de documents

J'ai alors changé ma façon d'ouvrir mes documents
- abandonnant l'ouverture par Pomme A / Pomme O à partir d'une fenêtre de Finder ouverte sur une liste de documents
- préférant la commande Fichier / Ouvrir récent de Word ou d'Excel
ou
- prenant soin de fermer la fenêtre du Finder
ou
- prenant soin de repositionner la fenêtre du Finder sur une liste de dossiers

FIN IMMÉDIATE DES PLANTAGES D'EXCEL ET DE WORD

J'indique à la communauté cette astuce pour ce qu'elle vaut
C'est à dire peut-être pas grand chose
Mais il serait bon que d'autres victimes des erreurs inopinées de produits Office puissent la tester pour la confirmer ou l'infirmer
