Video CD Preparation
Toast Titanium now automatically prepares digital video files for Video CD format. Video CDs can be played on computers (cross platform) and the majority of consumer DVD Video players. Toast Titanium includes a QuickTime codec that encodes digital video into MPEG-1 format and burns it to Video CD. This extension is available to any QuickTime compatible application, such as QuickTime Player and Final Cut Pro, and is usually accessible from the "Export Movie" menu. Toast Titanium also includes a plugin for iMovie that allows you to burn your movie to Video CD directly from iMovie. (Requires iMovie 2.0.1 or later) In addition, any QuickTime movie can be used to create a Video CD by simply dragging it onto Toast's Video CD format. Toast no longer requires MPEG-1 Video CD streams to be "Toast Ready".
DVD Mastering
All the features and functionality of Toast DVD, Roxios premiere DVD mastering solution for Macintosh, have been merged into Toast Titanium. A DVD menu item has been added to the "Other" drop down menu. Toast Titanium fully supports DVD-R and DVD-RW recorders, DVD-RAM drives, and DLT tape drives. Toast Titanium has complete support for DVD-ROM premastering and is the ideal companion to DVD-Video authoring products such as Apples iDVD and DVD Studio Pro.
